i-mate K-JAR and JAQ3 Coming Soon

i-mate, who recently unveiled the JAQ and the SPL at Mobile Asia 2006, have brought out a great follow-up to their JASJAR handset called the K-JAR. The K-JAR features GSM/GPRS, Windows Mobile 5, running on a TI OMAP750 with 128 MB ROM and 64 MB RAM.

There's a 2.8" QVGA (320x240) display. The top half of the K-JAR appears to be able to be flipped and turned around just like the JASJAR, revealing a full QWERTY keyboard underneath. It has WiFi, Bluetooth, the works, but 3G capabilities??? K-JAR seems to have that one absent, unlike JASJAR. This makes the K-JAR a sort of a trimmed down (budget) version of the JASJAR. Also, the JASJAR was manufactured by HTC, but the K-JAR has been manufactured by TechFaith Wireless.
