Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-H7

We talk about the high end cameras like the D40 and the EOS series. But, there is a new entrant in the field that can create a niche for itself. Why? Because recently, there has been a growing demand for superzoom digicams. Sony probably had this in mind when it recently introduced the DSC-H7. A very professional looking camera which will please the all types of users. When you pick up the camera, it gives a good snug feeling while sitting fitted in your hands. The overall build of the camera is quite simplistic, with a basic clutch of buttons, nothing little here. The screen doesn't pop out to tilt or swivel in any direction, which is surprising and rather sad for a camera of this caliber.

Earlier i mentioned that it will please all types of users. But a beginner who uses this camera, may find the going a little awkward due to the absence of "Scene Modes." The ones you find in tonnes in most of modern cameras. In case you are looking to get comfortable with the camera using the scene modes, the lack of those will be felt. Straightaway launching into manual mode might be a tad difficult. There are those basic scene modes present, but they might not be sufficient to get your hands dirty in the exploitation of the camera to full extent without having the expertise to click photos like a pro.

The biggest plus point though, that sets H7 apart from the contemporaries is the presence of "Wireless Remote Control." It allows you multiple functions like watching the images in playback mode, when connected to a TV, or taking your own pictures (You Narcissist), without taking help of some one. Just use the wireless remote control to release shutter. There is also the 1080i HDTV output available. This really makes the H7 very very contemporary. The sad part, though, is that you will have to invest in the Component cables if you want to preview the HD content.

Did i mention the 15X optical zoom? No, i did not! Well, the 8.1 mega pixel CCD sensor and the 15X optical zoom make it a real handy camera if you are a amateur spy. The image stabilization works at maximum zoom as well. So the spy pictures taken by you will not be found wanting in detail because of the available stability and large sensor. The large LCD screen provides you with enough detail to capture those eye catching snaps the way you want them.
